Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 June 2026
1. Agreement
These terms form an agreement between you (the customer) and Briefpad, operated by Joseph Osu, trading as Briefpad (a sole trader based in England & Wales). If you are using Briefpad on behalf of an agency or company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. The service
Briefpad joins discovery calls you invite it to, transcribes them, and generates structured briefs — including a starter prompt for Claude Code — which are delivered to your dashboard. Features and limits depend on your plan.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, your login credentials, and all activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Your responsibilities
- Call recording consent. You must ensure everyone on a call is informed it is being recorded and that any legally required consent is obtained before Briefpad joins.
- Lawful use. You must not use Briefpad for any unlawful purpose, or to process data you have no right to process.
- Accurate information. You are responsible for the information you submit in pre-call forms and account settings.
5. AI-generated output
Briefs and prompts are generated automatically by AI from call transcripts. They are a starting point, not professional advice, and may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing each brief before relying on or building from it.
6. Plans, fees & billing
Briefpad is offered on monthly plans — Starter (£299), Growth (£499) and Pro (£799) — plus a one-time £199 onboarding fee. Fees are billed monthly, in advance, with no minimum commitment, and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on 30 days’ notice.
7. Intellectual property
You own your data, your call content and the briefs generated for you. Briefpad owns the platform, software and underlying technology. You grant us the limited rights needed to process your data and provide the service.
8. Third-party services
Briefpad relies on third-party providers (such as hosting, transcription and AI/LLM services). We are not responsible for those providers’ own services, and your use of integrated platforms (e.g. your video-call provider) is subject to their terms.
9. Availability
We work to keep Briefpad available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Briefpad’s total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You may cancel at any time, with no notice period and no minimum commitment. Your plan stays active until the end of your current billing period and then will not renew. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
